Marcus Bakker

I am a passionate IT Security professional with 13 years of experience. I started my IT Security career at KPMG, where I learned much about being a consultant. After my move to ING, I learned the art of how to defend a big corporation from different kinds of adversaries. Over the years I have gained experience in many areas including cyber defense, being a security advisor, security testing, explaining complex IT security topics to senior management, performing risk assessments in highly confidential environments and providing training.

I love solving complex problems using creative and innovative ideas and putting them in practice. If there is no tool available to implement the idea, I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and to start writing the code for the tool myself. I enjoy helping organizations to build solutions and to come up with smart ideas that make a difference and are of high value to the organization.

I am excited by sharing my knowledge with people, learning from others, fostering a good team spirit, continuing to improve and staying ahead of the curve.
